Enjoy a class with your child! Class goals will be to develop a high comfort level in young children in and around the water, to develop breath control, work on basic swimming and survival skills and progress to a readiness to swim.

PRESCHOOL AQUATICS
STARFISH: AGES 3-5
Designed with the younger preschooler in mind, this class is a fun introduction to the water with an emphasis on safety and basic swimming skills including water entry, water adjustment, breath control, supported and unsupported front and back floating and kicks, and basic arm actions.

SEAHORSES: AGES 3-5
Skills include front and back glides with a kick, rhythmic breathing, underwater exploration, combined arm and leg action, jumping into shallow and deep water, and basic water safety. Students ages 6 that have successfully completed this course move into Level 2.

LEARN TO SWIM AGES 6 -13
LEVEL 1
This level is for those who have had no prior aquatic instruction or are timid in the water. Students will learn pool entries and exits, breath control, floats on front and back, glides, arm and leg action, lifejacket use and will be introduced to the deep end.

LEVEL 2
This level builds from Level 1. Students will learn to retrieve underwater objects, freestyle with side breathing fundamentals, backstroke and whip-kick lead up skills. Students must pass the swim test to pass this level.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Level 1 or ability to fully submerge underwater comfortably and complete 10-15 yards of combined arm and leg water movement with face in the water.

LEVEL 3
Level 3 skills are highly dependent upon a strong Level 2 base. Students continue to practice freestyle with side breathing, backstroke, scissor kick and learn turns, somersaults, elementary backstroke and basic diving.

ADVANCED LEVELS ( 45 minutes)
LEVEL 4
Students will learn stride and standing dives, surface dives, breaststroke, sidestroke, butterfly lead up skills, treading water, flip turns and continue to perfect elementary backstroke, front crawl with side breathing and backstroke.

LEVEL 5
This class will focus on the coordination, refinement and endurance of the four main strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. Other focuses will include flip turns, treading water with an eggbeater kick and the springboard approach. Student must master 100 yards of freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke, 25 yards of butterfly, 20 yards of underwater swim and treading water for over 2 minutes to pass.

LEVEL 6
This class is designed as a fitness swimming and community water safety course. Students will continue to improve their efficiency and endurance with the four main strokes, while learning lap swimming etiquette. Water safety topics will include, but not limited to: recognizing water emergencies, learning assists, hands only CPR, and basic safety topics about water parks, rivers, lakes, ponds and oceans.

This class is specifically designed for teenage students who are interested in learning to swim or gaining more knowledge of swimming techniques. It is tailored to beginner and intermediate swimmers who are looking to gain comfort in the water and learn formal strokes and skills.
